Good luck for the new prince of UP.

Akhilesh Yadav, son of a former CM.
Rahul Gandhi, son of a former PM.
Both are instances of nepotism. In the last few months, both worked hard campaigning in hundreds of towns.
Akhilesh also visited homes of poor but not with a herd of SPG around him and that might have helped him connect with the people.
Akhilesh spoke of aspirations instead of defaming rivals. People want to see how you can construct them a future and are not interested in seeing how you destroy your rivals and tear down their manifesto papers.
Akhilesh did not call his Indian political opponents as "outsiders" (Rahul called Uma an outsider).
Akhilesh did not call his UP people 'beggars who went begging for jobs to Maharashtra'.
Akhilesh did not bring his sister, mother and schoolgoing nephews to emotionally campaign for his party.
Finally, Akhilesh won..
Maybe if Rahul and his family had stayed back in Delhi, they would have retained their little leftover respect and would have have won more seats..
How is this junior Yadav going to fare in his political career, only time will tell. But he seems to have got his basics right..
